Thom Mann

Since moving to Melbourne in 2003, Adelaide born musician Thom Mann has become one of the most in-demand players on the scene. 


Thom is the drummer for Absolutely 80’s, backing various singers from some of the biggest Australian eighties bands, including Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera), Brian Mannix (Uncanny X-Men) and Scott Carne (Kids in The Kitchen). 


From 2018 he has also played in Kings of Queen, featuring Scott Carne, Dale Ryder and Tim Watson (ex Taxiride) and guitarist Steve Williams (ex Wa Wa Nee), performing the music of Queen. Thom also provides backing vocals extensively in this group 
In 2017/2018 he played in the pit band for a national tour of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, performing for thousands over 80 shows in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.


Thom played extensively with Phil Ceberano between 2003 and 2018, supplying music for some of Melbourne’s biggest corporate events for clients such as Red Energy, Toyota and Susan Alberti. In 2017 he reunited with Phil in Kate Ceberano’s band supporting Jon Stevens on the Starlight tour around Australia.


Thom Mann was beloved pop/jazz singer Kate Ceberano’s touring and recording drummer between 2006 and 2010. Some highlights of his tenure with Kate was supporting Simply Red on an extensive Day On The Green tour around Australia and recording two gold selling albums.


Thom has also played extensively with Jon Stevens (ex Noiseworks singer), jazz legend Paul Williamson and music theatre stars Bobby Fox (‘The Jersey Boys’) and Michael Falzon (‘We Will Rock You’and ‘Rock of Ages’)
